Remote Habits
Interviews with remote workers about their routines, plus tools, remote jobs and deals.

I started Remote Habits in 2018. Running Focus as an independent developer gave me the freedom of remote work, but also new problems: discipline, habits and healthy routines. Most productivity advice felt like one person’s experience stretched to fit everyone, so Remote Habits tells stories instead. It interviews freelancers, teams and founders who work remotely, with the same questions: What’s your typical work routine? How do you stay on task? What don’t you like about remote work?
Around the interviews it became a resource for a community of remote workers: answers grouped by question (the most popular have more than 100), a list of tools taken from the interviews, remote job listings and deals. It grew from the same interest as Focus: doing deep, focused work from anywhere.
