A creator platform on Bitcoin: a feed of high-quality posts that readers unlocked with a tap, sending a microtransaction straight to the creator.

If [PoW.Market](https://bradjasper.com/projects/pow-market/) was the infrastructure, Bit.sv was the consumer layer. Think Twitter with microtransactions, or Patreon on Bitcoin, built around good content. In the feed, tapping a post unlocked it through a simple paywall and sent a small payment straight to the creator. Proof of work from PoW.Market fed into quality voting, upvotes and downvotes.

The goal was a new creator economy: many independent creators earning a living directly from a core audience. It grew out of [Open Directory](https://bradjasper.com/projects/open-directory/). Alongside it I built [Hummingbird](https://bradjasper.com/projects/hummingbird/), an open source framework for real-time Bitcoin apps.
